The Analyst, Working Capital & Trade Finance (WCTF) role is a position focused on building the analytical, execution, risk management, and client-support capabilities needed to contribute across origination, structuring, implementation, and transaction monitoring. The Analyst supports senior team members in evaluating and executing new and existing WCTF transactions while developing a strong understanding of the Bank's working capital solutions, internal processes, and control framework.

The role requires accuracy, accountability, intellectual curiosity, and effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Analysts are expected to deliver high-quality work with appropriate guidance, manage assigned responsibilities and competing priorities, raise questions and issues promptly, and assume greater ownership as their product knowledge, judgment, and execution capabilities develop.

Responsibilities:

Transaction Analysis, Structuring & Execution

  • Support the analysis, structuring, approval, implementation, and closing of new and existing WCTF transactions under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Prepare accurate financial analyses, working capital assessments, transaction economics, ROE/RORA simulations, pricing and obligor limit analyses, deal sheets, and screening materials.
  • Assess transaction risks, structural considerations, and key assumptions; identify inconsistencies and escalate questions with supporting analysis.
  • Prepare term sheets, approval materials, presentations, implementation submissions, documentation inputs, and closing deliverables.
  • Coordinate assigned workstreams, timelines, and follow-ups across internal stakeholders, promptly escalating risks, delays, or unresolved items.

Origination & Client Support

  • Support client pitches, product proposals, peer analyses, and other marketing materials in partnership with senior Originators and Structurers.
  • Research prospective clients, industries, and market developments to evaluate the applicability of WCTF solutions and inform transaction analysis.
  • Participate in internal and external calls, prepare meeting materials and follow-up items, and support timely responses to Relationship Manager and client inquiries.
  • Communicate pipeline and transaction updates for assigned opportunities clearly and accurately.
  • Develop an understanding of client objectives, constraints, and transaction requirements while operating within the Bank's risk appetite.

Risk Management, Controls & Professional Accountability

  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with applicable credit policies, regulatory requirements, KYC standards, internal controls, and the Bank's risk appetite.
  • Support monitoring and reporting for assigned WCTF assets, including performance, utilization, obligor exposure, and transaction requirements; escalate deterioration, operational issues, or control concerns promptly.
  • Apply disciplined quality control to all work products, ensuring information is accurate, complete, consistent, and appropriately supported.
  • Identify and escalate potential credit, operational, compliance, information security, data integrity, or conduct issues and support timely remediation.
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, sound judgment, and clear communication while managing multiple assignments and deadlines.

Collaboration, Development & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate effectively across WCTF, the broader Working Capital organization, and other functions throughout the Bank.
  • Build product, credit, industry, market, legal documentation, systems, and execution knowledge and apply that learning to assigned responsibilities.
  • Incorporate feedback, address knowledge gaps through training and self-study, and progressively assume greater ownership of assigned work.
  • Contribute to process improvement, standardization, automation, artificial intelligence, and special projects that enhance efficiency, reporting quality, or risk management.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to support team effectiveness and consistent execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution, preferably with coursework in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Foundational financial analysis and modeling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to learn new products, industries, systems, and transaction structures.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments, follow through on commitments, and meet deadlines with appropriate oversight.
  • High attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and awareness of risk and control responsibilities.
  • Collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to seek guidance, incorporate feedback, and support team priorities.
  • Prior internship or experience in banking, working capital, trade finance, structured finance, credit, corporate finance, or a related field is beneficial but not required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
