The posting

Het M HKA is het Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen, een huis voor kunst, kunstenaars en publiek, diep verankerd in de Antwerpse avant-garde en met een internationale uitstraling.

Vandaag staat het M HKA op een kruispunt. Hoewel onze organisatie volop in transitie is, blijven wij onvermoeibaar onze missie verdedigen: hedendaagse kunst toegankelijk maken en haar maatschappelijke relevantie versterken.

Voor het team Productie zijn we op zoek naar een senior technisch projectleider met ruime ervaring in de technische realisatie van artistieke tentoonstellingen en presentaties. Doel

Tentoonstellingen en presentaties technisch waarmaken, van het eerste plan tot de afbouw.

Resultaat: wat kunstenaar en curator voor ogen hebben staat er veilig, op tijd en binnen het afgesproken budget.

Je opdracht

  1. Vanaf de preproductie met curator, projectleider productie en kunstenaar de technische haalbaarheid van een project inschatten, en oplossingen uitwerken binnen de beschikbare ruimte, materialen en middelen.
  2. Zaalplannen, technische tekeningen en berekeningen opmaken, en de technische documentatie van elke tentoonstelling bijhouden en bewaren.
  3. De planning van op- en afbouw opmaken (mensen, materiaal, timing) en bijsturen waar nodig.
  4. De werf leiden: de interne technici en de ingehuurde externe technici en onderaannemers aansturen. Dat gaat van een kleine presentatie met de vaste ploeg tot een grote opbouw met een uitgebreide ploeg over enkele weken.
  5. Problemen en conflicten op de werf oplossen, ook met externe technici die afspraken of richtlijnen niet volgen.
  6. De veiligheid op de werf bewaken en onveilige situaties corrigeren. De preventieadviseur consulteren bij beslissingen die veiligheid of gezondheid raken (nieuwe installaties, aankopen, werkmethodes), vóór die beslissingen vallen.
  7. Contacten met leveranciers en fabrikanten onderhouden, en de pool van externe technici en experts uitbouwen.
  8. Collega's adviseren over materialen, kosten, leveranciers en technische mogelijkheden, en de AV-specialist en andere technische experten coachen.
  9. Aan de coördinator productie signaleren wat het technisch team nodig heeft (materiaal, mensen, opleiding).

Gezocht profielBachelor of master technische productontwikkeling (of artistiek) of een gelijkaardige opleiding of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.

Je kan verder bouwen op een ruime werkervaring in een productionele-of museale context en hebt kennis van Autocad, Sketchup, MS Office.

Je hebt affiniteit met hedendaagse kunst en een grondige kennis van technisch materiaal, technieken, gebouwenbeheer en veiligheidsstandaarden.

Je hebt grondige kennis van Nederlands en Engels.
