We are looking for a Data Governance & Platform Technical Lead to join our team and support one of our banking clients. We're seeking someone with technical experience in data platforms and data governance who can support the team with a cross-cutting view: helping resolve technical definitions, unblocking progress, and connecting governance needs with their implementation on the data platform.🐶🚀

Responsibilities 🤓

  • Work with the data governance, architecture, and platform teams, while also understanding the needs of the business.
  • Actively participate in technical decisions around data catalog, data quality, and data observability.
  • Bring practical implementation criteria: identify dependencies, propose courses of action, and help drive them forward.
  • Help resolve technical definitions and unblock progress.
  • Support the evolution of prioritized data products.

Required Skills 💻

  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer, Tech Lead, or Data Architect, with the ability to lead technically and coordinate with different teams.
  • Experience with AWS (priority).
  • Experience with dbt (priority), the main tool for the data catalog.
  • Experience going through a data governance implementation cycle, ideally in banking.
  • Experience leading data governance initiatives or projects (of more than one year), not only using tools as a team member.
  • Experience implementing tools.
  • Knowledge of data platforms and of data catalog, data quality, or data observability tools.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and functional profiles and to bring a cross-cutting perspective.

Nice to have 💻

  • Experience with Elementary, DataHub, Apache Atlas, or similar tools.
