VCA County West Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Attendant

About Us:

At VCA County West Animal Hospital, we help pets live long, healthy and happy lives. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.

We offer outstanding, comprehensive veterinary services - from wellness care for kittens and puppies to geriatric care, as well as dental and surgical procedures - in a facility that is warm and welcoming. Our goal is to have your pet live life comfortably and pain-free. We believe that preventive care maximizes health and minimizes costs.

Compensation: $15 - 16/hr.

Schedule: Part-time, roughly 20 - 25 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide compassionate care and attention to hospitalized and boarding pets
  • Feed, walk, and monitor animals according to their individual care instructions
  • Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, and other hospital spaces
  • Assist the veterinary team with basic animal handling and patient care
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff
  • Monitor patients and communicate any changes or concerns to the veterinary team
  • Stock supplies and assist with general hospital duties as needed
  • Provide excellent care and a positive experience for both pets and their owners

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but not required
  • A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
  • Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
  • Reliable, dependable, and willing to be a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to safely lift and carry animals and supplies as needed
