Domain: AI Infrastructure / Real-Time Data Processing

Client Location: Israel

Company size: 10 - 51

A fast-growing product company building next-generation infrastructure for production AI systems. The team is focused on high-performance, low-latency distributed technologies that operate directly within real-time data flows and AI workloads. The product addresses complex engineering challenges related to runtime reliability, distributed processing, networking, observability, and large-scale system performance.

What makes this project exciting?

The client is looking for a Go Backend & Networking Engineer to join their Data Path domain and build the connectivity layer of their platform.

This is a Go & Networking role focused on building the connectivity layer of a platform. The main focus is developing connectors, proxies, and sidecars that integrate the platform with different customer systems, AI solutions, and network environments. The role involves researching protocols, designing integration solutions, and taking them from initial research to production. Strong knowledge of networking, performance, reliability, and high-throughput/low-latency traffic is important.

What makes you a great fit

  • At least 7 years of strong production experience with Go (Golang).
  • Strong experience building networking, proxy, gateway, data-path, or infrastructure-oriented software.
  • Strong hands-on experience with gRPC.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, APIs, proxies, and application-layer protocols.
  • Experience building reverse proxies, forward proxies, gateways, sidecars, connectors, or similar traffic-handling components.
  • Experience developing software where throughput, latency, concurrency, or network efficiency matter.
  • Comfortable developing, debugging, and troubleshooting software in Linux environments.
  • Ability to independently research unfamiliar protocols and technologies and quickly turn findings into working implementations.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with concurrent and asynchronous software.
  • Ability to move quickly while maintaining production-quality engineering.
  • Comfortable using modern AI development tools as part of the engineering workflow.
  • Strong ownership and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

  • Node.js experience.
  • Experience with QUIC.
  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
  • Experience building LLM proxies, API gateways, service proxies, or AI infrastructure.
  • Experience with WebSockets, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, or streaming protocols.
  • Experience with high-throughput or low-latency data processing systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience with customer-deployed or on-prem software.
  • Experience with observability and production troubleshooting.

Your day-to-day in this position

  • Design and develop connectors, proxies, and sidecars in Go.
  • Build integrations between our Data Path and different customer systems, applications, and AI environments.
  • Design software for high-throughput and latency-sensitive data flows.
  • Build and maintain gRPC-based services and communication flows.
  • Design and implement Layer 7 proxies and traffic-handling components.
  • Research new protocols, technologies, and integration patterns independently.
  • Work with modern AI protocols and ecosystems, including MCP and LLM-related integrations.
  • Optimize throughput, latency, concurrency, and resource utilization where required.
  • Debug complex networking and protocol issues in Linux environments.
  • Improve reliability, error handling, testing, and observability of production services.
  • Contribute to other Go-based platform components when needed.
  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate research, implementation, debugging, and testing.
  • Own features from research and design through implementation and production readiness.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
