The posting

We are looking for an electronics and embedded systems specialist to help improve FluxPose’s current products and develop new devices related to virtual reality, wearables, and positioning systems.

The successful candidate will be involved throughout the complete product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, electronic design, component selection, firmware development, prototyping, validation, and preparation for manufacturing.

The role combines hardware and firmware development, with direct hands-on work involving prototypes and real products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve electronic circuits for FluxPose products.
  • Develop firmware for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
  • Select electronic components and evaluate technical alternatives.
  • Design and review schematics and printed circuit boards.
  • Work with sensors, IMUs, wireless communications, battery management, USB, and other peripherals.
  • Assemble, test, debug, and validate electronic prototypes.
  • Analyse hardware and firmware failures and propose solutions.
  • Optimise device power consumption, performance, stability, and reliability.
  • Prepare designs for manufacturing and collaborate with PCB, PCBA, and component suppliers.
  • Develop production tools, test firmware, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Document designs, testing processes, technical decisions, and product revisions.
  • Collaborate with the software, mechanical design, production, and product teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of new devices and the evolution of FluxPose’s technology architecture.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of digital and analogue electronics.
  • Experience designing electronic circuits and PCBs.
  • Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of C and/or C++.
  • Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Experience with protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, or similar.
  • Ability to interpret datasheets, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to diagnose complex technical problems.
  • A good working level of English.
  • Availability to start within approximately one or two months.
  • No specific degree is required, provided that the necessary knowledge and experience can be demonstrated.

Spanish is not required, although some knowledge of Spanish would be appreciated.

Highly Valued Experience

  • Experience with Nordic, STM32, ESP32, or similar microcontrollers.
  • Experience with Zephyr RTOS, nRF Connect SDK, FreeRTOS, or other embedded operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4 GHz wireless communications.
  • Experience with inertial sensors, sensor fusion, and positioning systems.
  • Knowledge of low-power design and battery-powered devices.
  • Experience with battery chargers, DC-DC converters, LDOs, ESD protection, and power management.
  • Experience with design for manufacturing, testing, and mass production.
  • Knowledge of EMC, RF, signal integrity, and product certification.
  • Experience working with PCB manufacturers and electronics assembly suppliers.
  • Experience developing test tools or production automation systems.
  • Knowledge of C#, Git, and continuous integration systems.
  • Experience with wearables, virtual reality, trackers, controllers, sensors, or consumer electronics.
  • A personal portfolio, independent projects, or involvement in maker communities.
  • A degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent training.

Career Development at FluxPose

The successful candidate will initially focus on improving the electronics and firmware of our current products, solving technical challenges, and contributing to the development of new product revisions.

As they grow within the company, they may take on greater responsibility in areas such as:

  • Electronic architecture for new products.
  • Firmware development and embedded platforms.
  • Research and evaluation of new technologies.
  • Design for manufacturing and mass production.
  • Test systems and industrial automation.
  • Product certification and validation.
  • Technical coordination of hardware projects.

Working Arrangement

The role is primarily intended to be on-site, as it involves frequent use of our laboratory, measurement equipment, electronic prototypes, and physical devices.

However, for an exceptional candidate with particularly strong experience and technical ability, we are open to considering a different or more flexible working arrangement.

A partially remote arrangement may also become possible over time, depending on the candidate’s responsibilities and the status of the projects.

What We Offer

  • Direct involvement in the development of real technology products.
  • Work on projects involving virtual reality, wearables, and positioning systems.
  • The ability to make technical decisions and quickly see the results of your work.
  • A small, young, highly technical team with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Access to our own laboratory, measurement equipment, tools, and prototypes.
  • Participation in every stage of product development, from the initial idea through to manufacturing.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Competitive salary based on experience and technical ability.
  • Salary reviews linked to responsibility, professional growth, and impact.
  • Opportunities to grow into positions with greater technical responsibility within FluxPose.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
