Job position: Science LaboratoryAssistant

Salary range: 1800-2300

Name of Authority: Blangah Rise PrimarySchool

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31December 2029, up to 24 months, subject to the school exercising its option.

Personnel to be deployed atthe following hours:

· Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusiveof a 30-minute lunch break (30 working hours per week).

· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays andgazetted public holidays.

Requirements:

· At least two years of relevant experience in theScience/STEM support duties described below.

Job Scopes:

The Servicesrequired are set out as follows:

1. Support teachersduring Science and STEM lessons in Science Labs and Discovery Rooms.

2. Prepare andreplenish materials and apparatus for Science experiments and STEM activitiesacross all levels.

3. Carry outstocktaking and maintenance of Science and STEM equipment, including roboticsand engineering kits, apparatus, posters and experiment kits.

4. Assist Sciencerepresentatives with practical-task preparation and administration, includingpreparing and distributing teaching and learning resources.

5. Support schoolenvironmental programmes through simple gardening, watering and weeding.

6. Maintain theanimals' corner, including feeding animals and cleaning rabbits' pens and othersmall-animal enclosures.

7. Carry out otherduties assigned by the HOD/Level Head Science and assist the AdministrationManager with administrative work when required.
