Our client, a prominent global trading hub and regional headquarters for mineral resources and metal trading, is currently seeking an Accounting Senior Officer.
In this role, the successful candidate will support the Senior Manager of Accounting in managing financial activities, conducting rigorous financial analysis, and overseeing the implementation of key systems, including the Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) system.
【Responsibilities】
1. Accounting Operations and Administration (60%)
- Execute daily and monthly accounting activities, including accounts payable processing.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Respond to enquiries and provide accounting and finance guidance to internal stakeholders, including the Trade Operations and Market Risk departments, on accounting-related matters.
- Liaise closely with intercompany counterparties and external vendors to perform ledger balance reconciliations.
- Participate in and support IT system enhancement and implementation projects, including SAP, CTRM, and other systems, by conducting testing and providing Finance & Accounting support.
2. Management Reporting and Financial Analysis (15%)
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets and forecasts against actual monthly results for each commodity, and prepare management reports.
3. Financial Reporting and Consolidation (10%)
- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports, including quarterly consolidation reporting packages for the parent company, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards and procedures.
4. Audit and Statutory Reporting Support (10%)
- Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
5. Others (5%)
- Support other ad hoc assignments and projects as required.

【Requirements & Preferences】
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in full-set accounting operations, management reporting and analysis, financial reporting, consolidation, and audit support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (e.g., PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis) and PowerPoint.
- Experience using accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP, SAP GBS, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings effectively.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Availability to commence employment within one month's notice or at short notice.
- Prior experience working in a trading company or familiarity with Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) systems.
