Job Title: Aluminium Door, Gate &Window Drafter Location: Singapore Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Technical / Design Reports To: Project Manager / Design Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AluminiumDoor, Gate & Window Drafter to prepare accurate shop drawings,fabrication drawings, installation details, and as-built drawings for aluminiumdoors, windows, gates, grilles, louvers, and related architectural aluminiumworks.

The candidate will work closely with projectmanagers, site supervisors, aluminium fabricators, installers, architects,consultants, and clients to ensure drawings are accurate and suitable forfabrication and installation.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Prepare detailed AutoCAD shop drawings and fabrication drawings for aluminium doors, windows, gates, sliding doors, grilles, louvers, and related works.
  • Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, and enlarged drawings with accurate dimensions.
  • Interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
  • Prepare door and window schedules, including dimensions, quantities, glass type, aluminium profiles, hardware, finishes, and accessories.
  • Prepare aluminium profile sections and connection/fixing details.
  • Prepare drawings based on site measurements and actual site conditions.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and installation teams to resolve technical and dimensional issues.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, and clients regarding drawing comments and revisions.
  • Revise drawings according to site conditions, consultant comments, and approved materials/details.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings suitable for the workshop/production team.
  • Ensure drawings contain correct dimensions, tolerances, levels, opening sizes, fixing details, glass specifications, and hardware.
  • Prepare as-built drawings upon completion of works.
  • Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision records, and document control.
  • Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and existing conditions.
  • Assist the project team with technical clarification relating to aluminium systems, glass, hardware, and installation.
  • Ensure all drawings are submitted according to project schedules and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, and other materials where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant drafting experience in Singapore or a similar construction environment.
  • Experience in aluminium doors, windows, gates, façade, glazing, or architectural metalwork is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Able to produce detailed shop drawings independently from architectural drawings and site measurements.
  • Good knowledge of aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, hinges, locks, handles, rollers, brackets, sealants, and fixing methods.
  • Able to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
  • Familiar with construction and fabrication methods.
  • Good understanding of dimensions, sections, elevations, levels, tolerances, and detailing.
  • Knowledge of Singapore construction practices is an advantage.
  • Experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other drafting software will be an advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet tight project deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Mainly office-based with site visits when required.

  • May be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work according to project deadlines and construction schedules.
