Job Summary

The Animal Educator will coordinate, develop, and deliver educational programmes with a veterinary and education team to engage children, youth, and families in responsible pet ownership, conservation, and veterinary knowledge through interactive activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop educational programmes with veterinary and education teams to promote responsible pet ownership, conservation, and veterinary awareness
  • Deliver engaging content to large groups of children, youth, teachers, and the public using interactive methods such as puppetry, role-playing, and games
  • Handle pet animals safely during programme delivery, with further training provided
  • Travel across Singapore to deliver programmes, managing teaching logistics and live animals; driving ability is advantageous
  • Manage social media accounts and marketing tools including Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp to support programme promotion
  • Coordinate programme bookings and administrative tasks with customers including teachers, parents, and government agencies
  • Develop educational materials and teaching aids to enhance learning experiences
  • Mentor and train volunteers, part-time staff, and junior team members to ensure professional and effective programme delivery
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience working with children and youth, including early childhood and primary to tertiary school teaching experience
  • Ability to drive for programme delivery across multiple locations in Singapore
