Job Summary

Lead financial analysis and commercial finance activities to deliver actionable insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner with business leaders to drive profitability and operational control across markets.

Responsibilities

  • Generate detailed financial insights across product categories, brands, and markets to identify commercially valuable opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business directors to monitor commercial objectives, opportunities, pipelines, and client profitability, delivering timely reports and insights.
  • Perform advanced financial modelling and profitability assessments to evaluate business concerns and new product launches, providing practical recommendations.
  • Develop and manage budgets and rolling forecasts for sales and selling expenses, conducting reviews comparing actual results against projections.
  • Analyze monthly financial variances, explaining causes and risks to commercial leaders while controlling selling and distribution costs.
  • Oversee customer agreements by coordinating with Legal Counsel and Business Directors, managing contractual sales targets and incentive schemes.
  • Ensure overseas sales units and the Singapore market comply with operational control standards and governance obligations.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, or FP&A, preferably in FMCG, retail, distribution, or product-driven sectors.
  • Proven expertise in financial modelling, profitability analysis, and partnering with senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing budgets, rolling forecasts, and conducting monthly variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, power queries, and complex formulas.
  • Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and management reporting.
