Leading A1 Main Contractor | Major Building Construction Projects

Position: Assistant M&E Manager / Deputy M&E Manager Working Week: Monday – Friday, 5 Days per Week Salary: Up to SGD 9,500 (Highly Negotiable) Project Types: Newly Awarded Building Construction Projects Project Location: Singapore

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the M&E Manager in planning, coordinating and managing M&E works across building construction projects.
  • Lead coordination with M&E subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and technical documentation.
  • Monitor M&E site progress, subcontractor performance and construction programmes to achieve project milestones.
  • Manage and resolve M&E interfaces with architectural and structural works, including technical and site coordination issues.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections and handover, ensuring compliance with authority, safety and quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building construction projects, including experience in a senior M&E coordination/engineering capacity.
  • Strong experience in M&E project delivery, subcontractor management and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Experience working with an A1/Main Contractor in Singapore is strongly preferred.
  • Experience on major Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use or other large-scale building projects will be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore construction practices, M&E authority requirements, testing, commissioning and handover processes, with good leadership and technical coordination capabilities.
