Faststream Recruitment has partnered with a reputable shipping company who is looking for a new Product Owner to join the team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
  • Define and manage product roadmaps, prioritise business requirements and maintain the product backlog.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives, including process improvements, re-engineering and change management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering and Quality Assurance, to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies and delivery challenges while ensuring compliance with project governance standards.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate deliverables and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency and enhance business processes.
  • Drive product adoption, manage stakeholder communications and provide regular updates on project progress and upcoming releases.
  • Monitor product performance, user adoption and business outcomes to ensure successful delivery of business value.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex Agile/Scrum software projects, preferably within the container shipping industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in product ownership, business transformation and process re-engineering.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across business functions, IT teams and external vendors.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
