The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing reliable, secure and responsive day-to-day IT operations across WWF Singapore, covering hardware, operating systems, end-user support, office connectivity and audiovisual equipment. The role supervises the Executive, Technology & Digital Solutions and manages external vendors operating expenditure to ensure core systems, collaboration spaces, and daily technical operations run reliably and support business priorities and mission delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision & Escalation
- Supervise, guide, and develop junior executive on daily operational issues.
- Manage the ticketing system, prioritise issues by business impact, keep users informed, and address recurring problems.
- Serve as the operational escalation point for systems, hardware, and software issues.
- Oversee user onboarding, offboarding, and identity access lifecycle management.
2. Systems & End-User Computing
- Administer Microsoft 365 services and on-premise Windows Server environments.
- Manage staff endpoints (Windows and macOS), baseline configurations, and system patching.
- Oversee IT asset inventories, hardware refresh cycles, and software licensing.
3. Office IT & AV Facilities
- Oversee meeting room AV systems, video conferencing platforms, and maintain readiness through routine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure office network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and shared equipment operate reliably.
- Coordinate technical support for organizational events and meetings.
4. Vendor & Operational Governance
- Manage outsourced IT and AV vendors against agreed service levels, procurement, contracts, licences and renewals. Assess suitability and cost, verify invoices and track expenditure within approved budgets and procurement policies
- Maintain system backup schedules, routine security hygiene, and PDPA compliance across operations.
- Maintain operating procedures, continuity arrangements and audit evidence
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in IT operations, systems support, and office AV setups.
- Proven hands-on administration experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments.
- Experience supervising junior technical staff or managing outsourced service providers.
- Proficient with Windows, macOS, network fundamentals, and conference room systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
