Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in managing general construction projects from project award through completion, handover, and defect liability period.
- Plan and coordinate project schedules, procurement, subcontractors, suppliers, manpower, and site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout project execution.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, M&E, and other construction trades in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Review drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical requirements, and assist in resolving site and coordination issues.
- Monitor site progress, workmanship, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance through regular site inspections and project meetings.
- Assist with project documentation, including progress claims, variation orders (VOs), procurement, cost control, reporting, and completion documentation.
- Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning, defects rectification, and project handover.
- Support tender preparation, technical submissions, and pre-award planning where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in general building, construction, A&A, or main contractor projects.
- Good understanding of construction methods, architectural, structural and M&E coordination, and project delivery processes.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Familiar with project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, progress claims, and variation orders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment and travel when required.
