Technical Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, testing, diagnosis and troubleshooting of heavy vehicles, including lorries, trucks and tankers.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing and repair activities in accordance with approved maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical or vehicle-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Verify that repair and maintenance work complies with applicable regulatory codes, technical specifications, safety requirements and company procedures.
- Conduct post-repair checks and testing to ensure vehicles are suitable for operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance-related records where required.
Safety & Workplace Standards
- Maintain a high standard of workplace safety, cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Follow established workshop safety procedures and applicable operational requirements.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues and vehicle defects promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and workshop operations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 driving licence.
- Forklift licence/certification would be an advantage, where applicable to the job.
- Basic proficiency in English sufficient to understand technical instructions and workplace documentation.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, heavy vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, solve technical problems and recommend practical improvements.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing learning relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and comply with required safety and quality standards.
