SINBOR was established over 55 years ago. We are looking for a few Sales & Business Development Executives.

ROLE

  • Sinbor is seeking motivated sales professionals to grow our customer base and promote our range of high-quality marble and other building materials in Singapore. We welcome applications from both junior candidates with strong relationship-building potential and experienced senior professionals with established industry connections and product expertise. The level of appointment and responsibilities will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

● Identify and develop new business opportunities within Singapore's marble, natural stone, interior design and construction sectors.

● Proactively approach and build relationships with interior designers, architects, property developers, contractors, quantity surveyors, contract managers, project managers and other relevant decision-makers.

● Identify upcoming and existing residential, commercial, hospitality and other projects where marble and other building materials may be required.

● Develop relationships with project stakeholders and increase awareness and consideration of the company's marble and other building material products.

● Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and projects.

● Arrange client meetings, presentations, showroom visits and site visits where appropriate.

● Convert new prospects into active customers and develop opportunities for repeat business and referrals.

2. PROJECT & PRODUCT SALES

● Understand customer and project requirements and recommend suitable products from the company's existing product range.

● Promote and sell high quality marble and building materials for residential, commercial and other project applications.

● Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through quotation, negotiation, closing and order coordination.

● Prepare accurate quotations using the company's established pricing structure for marble and other building materials and fabrication and dry-lay services.

● Ensure quotations accurately reflect required materials, dimensions, fabrication requirements and other relevant project specifications.

● Follow up consistently on quotations and outstanding opportunities.

● Negotiate with customers within established company pricing guidelines.

● Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, opportunities and confirmed orders.

3. NON-STANDARD MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

Where a customer requests a material or specification outside the company's standard product range, the Sales Manager will work with the Purchaser to identify an appropriate solution.

● Identify when a customer's requested marble, colour, pattern, size or specification is outside the standard product range.

● Clearly communicate the customer's material requirements and specifications to the Purchaser.

● Work with the Purchaser to understand available alternatives, costs and lead times.

● Use information provided by the Purchaser to prepare an appropriate customer quotation.

● Maintain ownership of the customer relationship and sales opportunity throughout the process.

4. ORDER & DELIVERY COORDINATION

● Coordinate confirmed orders with relevant internal teams.

● Ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated to teams responsible for dry-lay, fabrication and fulfilment.

● Monitor order progress and delivery schedules.

● Keep customers informed of relevant updates.

● Identify and escalate potential issues that could affect delivery or customer satisfaction.

● Follow up after delivery to support customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

● Proven experience in sales, business development or project sales, preferably within marble, natural stone, building materials, interior finishes or a related industry.

● Strong track record of generating new business rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries or existing accounts.

● Established network within Singapore's interior design, architecture, property development, construction or related industries is highly advantageous.

● Existing relationships with owners, interior designers, architects, developers, contractors, quantity surveyors, contract managers or project managers will be strongly valued.

● Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to convert opportunities into confirmed sales.

● Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.

● Strong follow-up, organization and pipeline-management abilities.

● Ability to work independently, take ownership of opportunities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

● Good understanding of project-based sales and the ability to communicate product and material requirements clearly.

● Comfortable working with established pricing guidelines and fabrication costs.

JUNIOR SALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | 1–3 Years’ Experience

● 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management or a customer-facing commercial role; B2B exposure is advantageous.

● Strong interpersonal communication, active listening and relationship-building skills, with confidence approaching new prospects.

● Demonstrated initiative in prospecting, following up on leads, arranging meetings and developing customer relationships.

● Enthusiasm for learning about marble, natural stone, building materials, project specifications and the construction / interior design ecosystem.

● Good organisation, responsiveness and discipline in managing leads, sales records and follow-up activities.

● Positive, proactive attitude, willingness to learn from feedback and ability to work collaboratively with senior colleagues and internal teams.

SENIOR SALES / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT | 5+ Years Experience

● Proven record of generating new business and closing project-based or B2B sales, ideally in marble, natural stone, tiles, architectural surfaces, interior finishes or premium building materials.

● Established, active relationships with Singapore-based architects, interior designers, developers, main contractors, quantity surveyors, project managers or other project decision-makers.

● Strong product knowledge of marble and natural stone, including applications, material selection, sizes, finishes, fabrication considerations and relevant project specifications.

● Ability to independently identify projects, influence product specification, develop commercial opportunities, negotiate and close sales.

● Understanding of project sales cycles, stakeholder engagement, quotations, margins, pricing guidelines and order-delivery coordination.

● Ability to manage multiple opportunities and long sales cycles with minimal supervision; confident presentation and consultative selling skills.

● Experience with high-end residential, commercial or hospitality projects, cut-to-size stone, fabrication or tabletop applications is advantageous.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE

Success will be measured primarily by the ability to generate new business, build a strong pipeline of project opportunities, develop relationships with key industry stakeholders, convert opportunities into sales and maintain strong customer relationships through delivery and beyond.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
