The posting

Build your procurement career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where your sourcing decisions and supplier partnerships help keep production moving.

We are looking for a proactive Buyer who enjoys negotiating with suppliers, resolving material shortages and working closely with planning and operations teams.

What You Can Look Forward To

  • Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm
  • Exposure to the full purchasing cycle, from sourcing to delivery
  • Opportunities to contribute to cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams

Your Responsibilities

  • Source materials, components and equipment to meet production and business needs.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate commercial terms and issue purchase orders.
  • Review material requirements and coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules.
  • Track outstanding orders, follow up with suppliers and resolve delivery delays or shortages.
  • Work with planning and logistics teams to maintain material availability and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate shipments and support the preparation of relevant shipping and customs documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers on rejected materials, returns and replacement arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate supplier information, purchasing records and procurement reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
  • An organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems would be an advantage.
