C&B Senior Executive HR / Assistant Manager – Retail
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Compensation & Benefits (C&B) operations for retail employees.
- Administer monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Manage salary structures, salary adjustments, promotions, transfers and other employee compensation matters.
- Support annual salary review, bonus and incentive exercises, including data preparation, analysis and implementation.
- Develop and administer retail incentive, commission and sales bonus schemes to support business objectives.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitiveness of compensation packages.
- Monitor manpower costs, overtime, allowances, incentives and other payroll-related expenses.
- Prepare C&B reports, dashboards and HR analytics for management review and decision-making.
- Manage employee benefits such as medical, insurance, leave and other company benefits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, Payroll and retail operations on C&B-related matters.
- Review and improve C&B processes, policies and workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support HR projects involving job evaluation, salary grading, compensation structures and rewards programmes.
- Provide advice to employees and managers on compensation, benefits, payroll and related policies.
- Maintain accurate employee and C&B data within the HRIS and ensure proper documentation and controls.
- Lead or support C&B projects and process improvements as required.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll or HR Operations, preferably within the retail/FMCG/service industry.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, employment legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience managing retail incentives, commissions or variable pay will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with HRIS/payroll systems is preferred.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines and handle confidential information.
- For Assistant Manager level, experience in C&B analysis, project management and process improvement is preferred.
