Role Overview
EIC is seeking a part-time specialist Mathematics teacher for the Grade 11/12 Cambridge International AS & A Level cohort, delivering the Cambridge syllabus (Mathematics 9709). The successful candidate will bring a record of student success in preparing learners for CAIE examinations.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics (9709) lessons in line with EIC's approved course design and delivery documentation (CDD) and the Cambridge syllabus.
• Apply differentiated instruction to meet the needs of learners preparing for AS and A Level examinations.
• Prepare students through structured exam practice, mock assessments aligned to CAIE assessment objectives, and targeted feedback.
• Record student attendance
• Liaise with the Head ACE on student progress as required.
• Where qualified, deliver Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics lessons to eligible classes.
• May also be asked to teach AEIS Secondary, SEC and/or IGCSE Mathematics, subject to timetabling needs and the candidate's qualifications.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or above in Mathematics or a related discipline, from a recognised institution.
• Relevant pre-university/AS& A Level teaching experience, ideally with the Cambridge International curriculum.
• A track record of student examination outcomes.
• Familiarity with the Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics (9709) syllabus and CAIE assessment objectives.
Desirable
• Prior experience teaching Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics within a SWDA-registered private education institution.
• Familiarity with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) grading and moderation processes.
• Experience teaching within a Cambridge-registered examination centre.
Payment
$60 per hour
