Job Summary

Build, install, and repair timber structures and fixtures in residential and light commercial buildings, preparing materials accurately and collaborating effectively with team members to meet project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build, install, and repair timber framing, floors, roofs, doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures in residential and light commercial buildings according to project plans
  • Measure, cut, shape, and treat timber and other materials precisely following building plans and specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely to complete construction and installation tasks
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate construction and installation
  • Collaborate with team members by contributing ideas and supporting a positive work culture
  • Communicate effectively with team members and work independently when required
  • Apply problem-solving skills to address construction challenges and maintain high attention to detail throughout projects
