- Develop and implement AST Investment's overall corporate, investment and business strategies in accordance with the Company's objectives.
- Lead the identification, evaluation and development of new investment and business opportunities.
- Oversee the Company's investment activities, including investment assessment, due diligence, transaction structuring, execution and portfolio management.
- Review and approve investment proposals and make recommendations to the Board and shareholders on significant investment opportunities.
- Establish appropriate investment strategies, risk management frameworks and portfolio monitoring processes.
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of the Company's investments and implement strategies to enhance portfolio value and returns.
- Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with investee companies, business partners, financial institutions, investors, professional advisers and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and business relationships in Singapore and international markets.
- Oversee the Company's financial planning, budgeting, cash management and overall financial performance.
- Ensure appropriate corporate governance, internal controls, risk management and compliance practices are implemented within the Company.
- Work with external legal, tax, accounting, corporate secretarial and other professional advisers on corporate and investment matters.
- Lead and oversee the Company's day-to-day operations and ensure that resources are effectively deployed to achieve the Company's strategic objectives.
- Recruit, develop and manage key personnel and build an effective management and professional team as the Company grows.
- Represent AST Investment in meetings with investors, business partners, financial institutions, government authorities and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor market, economic, regulatory and industry developments and assess their potential impact on the Company's investments and business activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the Company's business performance, investment portfolio, financial position and strategic initiatives to the Board and shareholders.
- Ensure that the Company's activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Singapore laws, regulations and corporate governance requirements.
- Perform such other strategic, managerial and executive responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned by the Board of Directors.
Position Requirements
- 10 or more years of relevant professional experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, asset management, investment banking, business management or a related field.
- Proven experience in senior management, investment decision-making and/or strategic business development.
- Strong understanding of investment analysis, corporate finance, financial markets, valuation and transaction structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate investment and business opportunities and make commercially sound decisions.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to independently lead the Company's business and investment activities and make decisions with a high degree of responsibility and accountability.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to assess financial performance, investment returns and business risks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, investors, business partners and professional advisers.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and sound business judgement.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and develop long-term business relationships.
