The posting

Job Description

  • Plan, design and supervise civil and structural construction works.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed according to approved plans, specifications and project schedules.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure construction works meet required quality standards.
  • Supervise site activities and provide technical guidance to site teams.
  • Check dimensions, levels, materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Identify technical issues and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Manager on project planning and execution.
  • Monitor project costs, materials and resources where required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore construction standards, regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports, inspection records and other engineering documentation.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate technical matters with relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant civil/construction engineering experience.
  • Experience in construction site supervision and project coordination.
  • Good knowledge of civil construction methods, engineering principles and technical standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
  • Good knowledge of project scheduling, quality control and site coordination.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/design software such as AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and workplace safety requirements will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors and consultants.
