Job Title: Prime Mover Driver

Job Summary:We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and safety-conscious Prime Mover Driver to transport containers, trailers, and cargo between designated locations. The successful candidate must have the appropriate driving licence, a good understanding of road safety regulations, and the ability to handle heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate prime mover trucks safely to transport containers, trailers, and cargo to designated locations.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Ensure containers and cargo are properly secured before transportation.
  • Follow assigned delivery schedules, routes, and instructions from the operations team.
  • Comply with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with customers, warehouse personnel, port operators, and the operations team regarding deliveries and collections.
  • Complete delivery orders, trip records, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or other operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of containers while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class 4 or Class 5 driving licence, as required for the assigned vehicle in Singapore.
  • Previous experience driving a prime mover or heavy vehicle is preferred.
  • Familiarity with container transportation, port operations, and local road routes is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of traffic rules and heavy vehicle safety procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties related to vehicle inspections and cargo checks.
  • Responsible, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, or shifts when required.
  • Must comply with all applicable Singapore driving and employment regulations.
