The posting

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely drive prime movers with trailers and crane lorries to transport machinery, equipment, steel and construction materials to designated destinations.
  • Operate the lorry crane safely for loading and unloading, working closely with the rigger and signalman.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured with lashing, chains or straps before moving off.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip checks on the vehicle, trailer and crane to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Adhere strictly to company safety procedures, site safety requirements, Workplace Safety and Health requirements, and traffic rules and regulations under the Road Traffic Act at all times.
  • Drive defensively and responsibly at all times, taking appropriate precautions to protect pedestrians, other road users, site personnel, the vehicle and transported materials.
  • Immediately report any vehicle or crane defects, unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses or incidents to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely at designated locations and returned to the company premises as required.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or HOD.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Singapore Class 5 driving licence with a good driving record.
  • At least 1-2 years of proven experience operating prime movers and/or crane lorries, preferably in the construction or related industry.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore roads, traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Familiar with construction site safety requirements and safe loading/unloading practices.
  • Able to carry out basic vehicle checks and identify and report potential vehicle safety issues.
  • Prior experience in logistics, construction or delivery operations will be an advantage.
  • Strong safety awareness, responsible work attitude and commitment to safe driving are essential.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Work Schedule: 5.5 days work week
  • Work Location / Vehicle Return: Company premises at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, Singapore 729556 (North area)
  • Safety is a key priority for this role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to safe driving, vehicle care and compliance with company and site safety requirements.
