What you'll do:

As a Clearing Operations Analyst in Brokerage Operations, you will play an integral role in the post-trade lifecycle by leveraging advanced technology to reconcile trades and positions across various asset classes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve processing settlements accurately, managing inventory controls, overseeing derivatives expiry procedures, and facilitating client account transfers. You will be entrusted with utilising proprietary systems to identify operational risks while collaborating closely with system developers on automation projects that drive efficiency. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when handling corporate actions such as dividend events and maintaining open lines of communication with clients regarding settlement statuses.

  • Conduct thorough trade and position reconciliations across multiple asset classes including equities, derivatives, commodities, fixed-income securities, and forex.
  • Process post-trade settlements efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile and process corporate action events such as dividends and other entitlements for client accounts.
  • Oversee derivatives settlement operations including expiry processing for both local Singapore market activity and global transactions.
  • Manage inventory control functions to maintain precise records of securities positions and movements.
  • Facilitate client account transfers by coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Utilise proprietary clearing systems to identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with system developers.
  • Support ongoing automation initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and adapting to new business or investment products.
  • Participate actively in cross-functional projects designed to expand job scope or improve processes within the Clearing Department.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders regarding settlement status, reconciliation outcomes, and any issues requiring resolution.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Clearing Operations Analyst role brings a solid academic foundation coupled with practical experience—or a keen willingness to learn—in financial services or brokerage operations. Your analytical mindset empowers you to interpret complex data sets while maintaining accuracy under pressure. You possess outstanding interpersonal skills that foster collaborative relationships across teams as well as clear communication with clients. Proficiency in computer applications supports your use of proprietary clearing systems for risk identification and process optimisation.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required for this position.
  • Your proven problem-solving abilities enable you to address complex reconciliation challenges efficiently.
  • Exceptional analytical skills allow you to interpret large volumes of data accurately within fast-moving environments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensures that all settlements are processed without error or oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English facilitate clear interactions with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Strong computer proficiency—including competency with MS Office products—supports your ability to operate sophisticated clearing systems effectively.
  • Experience working in financial services or brokerage operations is highly desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate within a supportive team environment fosters communal success across departments.
  • Adaptability enables you to thrive amid evolving business needs or new product launches within the organisation.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement drives your participation in training opportunities or process enhancement projects.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
