About the role
This role involves cybersecurity system maintenance, incident response support, vulnerability management, security audits, and collaboration with IT teams to maintain and enhance the organisation's security posture.
Key responsibilities
- Regularly monitor and maintain security tools, firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Assist in identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents, providing first-level troubleshooting and documentation
- Liaise with technology vendors for escalation where required
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management to ensure systems remain secure
- Support security audits by gathering and preparing necessary logs and reports
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory standards
- Work closely with IT teams, network engineers, and other stakeholders to implement security measures and support operational needs
- Maintain detailed documentation on security procedures, incidents, and the overall state of cybersecurity environment
- Lead a team of engineers to fulfil Day 1 and Day 2 functions
About you
- Possess Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
- More than 5 years of experience in cyber security maintenance role or IT security operations
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- CISSP or cyber security equivalent certification
- Expertise in Endpoint protection, Network Security, and IAM
- Operational experience in Container Security and Key Management is an advantage
