About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CNC Machine Tools Service Supervisor to lead our field service operations in Singapore. The successful candidate will oversee a team of service engineers and technicians ensure excellent customer support delivery, and provide advanced technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of CNC machine tools.

This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, customer relationship management, and hands-on engineering capability to support customers in the aerospace, semiconductor, precision engineering, medical, and general manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities

Service Operations & Team Leadership

  • Hands-on, Lead, supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of field service engineers and technicians.
  • Plan resource deployment, work schedules, and service assignments to ensure timely support and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor service performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction while maintaining high service standards.
  • Conduct technical coaching and skills development programs for junior engineers and technicians.

Advanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex machine tool issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine faults, including:
  • -Spindle vibration and performance issues
  • -Axis positioning and servo-related errors
  • -CNC controller alarms and communication faults
  • -Machine geometry and accuracy deviations
  • -Hydraulic and pneumatic system failures
  • -Provide root cause analysis (RCA) reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Machine Installation, Commissioning & Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end machine installation and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate site preparation, machine positioning, leveling, alignment, and utility readiness.
  • Supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and final customer handovers.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.

Preventive Maintenance & Spare Parts Management

  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize machine uptime and reliability.
  • Monitor service records, maintenance history, and equipment performance trends.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory, warranty claims, and factory engineering updates.
  • Coordinate replacement planning for major machine components such as spindles, ball screws, linear guideways, servo motors, and drive systems.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for key customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with production, maintenance, and engineering teams at customer facilities.
  • Conduct technical reviews, service presentations, and maintenance planning discussions.
  • Support service contract renewals and identify opportunities for value-added services.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Assessment (RA) procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices.
  • Maintain proper service documentation and reporting standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
