About the Role

We are looking for motivated, hands-on, and mechanically inclined individuals to join our growing CNC Machine Tools Service.

In this role, you will be trained and developed to support the installation ,maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of advanced CNC machine tools used in precision manufacturing industries, including aerospace, semiconductor, medical, precision engineering, and general manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Installation& Commissioning

  • Assist in the installation, positioning, leveling, alignment, and commissioning of CNC machine tools at customer sites.
  • Perform machine accuracy checks, functional testing, and acceptance procedures in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where required.

Preventive Maintenance & Servicing

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability.
  • Perform lubrication system inspections, filter replacements, belt tension adjustments, hydraulic and pneumatic system checks, and machine cleaning activities.
  • Identify potential wear issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Mechanical& Electrical Repair Works
  • Assist in the dismantling, replacement, adjustment, and reassembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, including: - Ball screws - Linear guideways -Spindles -Automatic Tool Changers (ATC) -Chuck cylinders -Servo motors -Sensors and proximity switches -Solenoid valves -Support machine retrofits, upgrades, and replacement projects. Troubleshooting& Fault Diagnosis
  • Assist in diagnosing machine faults involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and circuit diagrams to identify faults systematically.
  • Troubleshoot issues such as:
  • -Machine vibrations-
  • -Hydraulic and coolant leaks
  • -Sensor malfunctions
  • -Positioning inaccuracies-
  • -Basic CNC controller alarms
  • - Perform machine geometry checks and verify tolerances during servicing and installation activities

Service Reporting & Documentation

  • Accurately complete service reports, maintenance records, inspection checklists, and spare parts documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of work performed, machine condition, and customer feedback.
  • Report technical findings and recommendations to supervisors and service engineers
  • Workplace Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere strictly to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and participate in site risk assessments.
  • Requirements
  • Educational Background
  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or equivalent qualification in: -Mechanical Engineering -Mechatronics -Precision Engineering -Automotive Technology -Electrical Engineering -Industrial Maintenance -Related technical disciplines - Similar technical trade professionals seeking career progression into CNC machine tool servicing Technical Skills & Attributes
  • Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments.
  • Ability or willingness to learn:
  • Electrical schematics
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Mechanical drawings
  • CNC machine operations and maintenance
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous skill development.
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working at customer sites across Singapore.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of CNC machine tools or industrial machinery.
  • Experience in maintenance, equipment servicing, machinery assembly, or industrial automation.
  • Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License is an advantage.
