The posting
We are looking for a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to set up, program, and operate
computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines to manufacture precision metal or
plastic components. You will read engineering blueprints, ensure production tolerances are
met, and maintain machine quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Adjustment: Set up auto-lathe machines, including mounting work-holding
devices, installing cutting tools, cams, and setting stops or feeds.
Machine Operation: Monitor continuous automated production runs, ensuring raw
materials (bar stock) are fed properly and machine feeds/speeds are optimized.
Part Inspection: Conduct first-piece inspection and periodic in-process quality audits
using micrometers, optical comparators, plug/thread gauges, and calipers.
Tool Sharpening & Replacement: Change worn or damaged cutting tools, inserts, and
drills; perform tool sharpening and offsets as required.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose machining issues, thread pitch errors, dimensional drift,
or surface finish flaws during operation and make immediate corrections.
Maintenance: Perform daily machine cleaning, lubrication, coolant level checks, and
chip management.
