The posting
We are looking for highly skilled and hands-on CNC Milling Operator cum Programmers to undertake precision machining of complex components for the Oil & Gas industry.
The successful candidates must be capable of handling the complete machining process independently, from engineering drawing interpretation and CAM programming through machine setup, tooling, machining, inspection, troubleshooting, and final completion.
This is a hands-on programming and machining role, not an operator-only position.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and programme CNC milling machines for precision machining of Oil & Gas components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and technical specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Create, edit, and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAM software and machine controls.
- Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, and machining parameters based on material and component specifications.
- Perform machine setup, workpiece alignment, tool setting, and first-off inspections before production.
- Machine complex Oil & Gas parts such as valve bodies, manifolds, pump components, flanges, and precision-machined blocks.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM reports.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programme issues to ensure product quality and minimise machine downtime.
- Ensure all completed parts meet dimensional tolerances, surface finish requirements, and quality standards.
- Take full responsibility for the entire machining process from programming, machine setup, operation, inspection, and successful completion of the job while complying with safety and production targets.
Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification in CNC Machining / Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in CNC milling and programming.
- Proven experience in precision machining, preferably in the Oil & Gas or engineering industry.
- Good knowledge of CAM software and CNC machine controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Good knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, workholding, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with precision measuring and inspection instruments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, productivity, and meeting production targets.
Candidates should demonstrate strong technical judgement, CNC programming capability, machining knowledge, problem-solving ability, precision, and ownership
We will take 4 to 5 working days to evaluate the candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. If you do not receive a call or email within this time frame, we encourage you to explore other opportunities.License No: R1102109 | Arasu
