About the role…

Reporting closely to senior management, the Compliance Manager will lead and strengthen the firm's compliance framework across Singapore and Hong Kong. This role provides strategic regulatory guidance, oversees licensing and regulatory obligations, and partners with the business to foster a strong culture of compliance while supporting growth initiatives.

Aboutthe responsibilities…

  • Develop, implement, and enhance the firm's compliance framework, policies, procedures, and controls in line with MAS and SFC regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical guidance on regulatory risks, obligations, and business impact.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with licensing requirements, regulatory filings, notifications, and statutory registers.
  • Review and strengthen compliance policies, procedures, and monitoring programmes.
  • Provide compliance advisory on business initiatives, fund documentation, marketing materials, service agreements, and internal policies.
  • Lead AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions screening, customer due diligence, and periodic compliance reviews.
  • Establish and oversee compliance monitoring and testing programmes, driving remediation of identified issues.
  • Manage regulatory examinations, audits, due diligence exercises, and regulatory communications.
  • Investigate compliance incidents and control breaches, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes across the organization.
  • Prepare compliance reports and updates for senior management, boards, and relevant committees.

About the requirements…

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of compliance and/or legal experience, preferably within private equity, fund management, asset management, or another regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS and/or SFC regulations, AML/CFT requirements, KYC processes, and sanctions compliance.
  • Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical policies, processes, and controls.
  • Commercially minded with strong judgment and the ability to balance regulatory expectations with business objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
