The posting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain servers, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Oversee virtualization technologies, including hypervisors and virtual machines (VMs).
  • Configure and manage network switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient data flow.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Provide support for data center operations, including hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement system upgrades and patches.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma/ITE degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on Linux environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA, or LPIC are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including switching, routing, and firewalls.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, FusionCompute or KVM.
  • Handling of apps such as JOM2.0, LOS1.5, & MOS in ITplatform such as Windows, Linux & VOE.
  • Proactively maintain and develop all Unix/Linuxinfrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
  • Attend to reportedincidents, review logs and errors and to seek out solutions for hostedapplications (Vmwar e, Nginx, Oracle & etc.)
  • Available for On-call support to attend to urgent production issues
  • Basic Knowledge of Java, C++, Python and Web Development
  • Familiarity with data center operations and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
