The posting

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Construction Manager to oversee site activities, coordinate contractors, and ensure engineering works are executed safely, on schedule, and per contract specifications. You will be stationed at the site office, supervising daily site activities, coordinating closely with main contractors and sub-contractors, and ensuring engineering works meet safety, schedule, and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project planning and monitor daily site progress with Main Contractors to ensure alignment with the master construction schedule
  • Supervise on-site works to enforce compliance with contract drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations
  • Maintain accurate daily site logs, manpower records, site progress photos, and work status reports for effective documentation
  • Track, document, and manage variation orders (VOs) and additional work claims submitted to clients to support contract administration
  • Prepare regular correspondence and progress reports that identify site issues and propose corrective actions or value-added technical solutions
  • Attend regular site meetings and liaise with consultants and Main Contractors to resolve ad-hoc technical site matters

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a recognized construction-related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience within the construction industry
  • Ability to read and interpret civil structural drawings and contract specifications
  • Willingness to work site hours including 5.5/6-day work weeks and support shift work during critical project phases

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Basic familiarity with project scheduling and CAD software such as AutoCAD and MS Project
  • Prior experience working with LTA projects and MRT works
