Job Description
- Plan, coordinate and manage construction projects from commencement to completion.
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and according to quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment and resources.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements and project documents.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality and work performance.
- Supervise project managers, site engineers, supervisors and site workers.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational and site-related issues.
- Ensure all construction works comply with approved plans, specifications and applicable Singapore regulations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health requirements at project sites.
- Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to contractual requirements.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, tendering and contract administration.
- Maintain proper project records and documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction/project management.
- Experience in managing construction projects and site operations.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, cost control and contract administration.
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety and health requirements in Singapore.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Experience in construction and M&E/electrical projects will be an advantage.
- Relevant Singapore construction industry experience will be an advantage.
