Job Overview

We are seeking an executive leader to own the Singapore entity’s business plan, budget, and commercial growth as our South East Asia (SEA) regional hub. You will lead commercial strategy, drive business development across the FPSO, EPC, and oilfield services sectors, manage regional channel partners, and scale our local Singapore team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Entity Leadership & P&L Management: Own the Singapore entity's business plan, budget, and financial performance (revenue, gross margin, operating cost, and profitability). Define commercial strategies and staged regional expansion priorities. Represent the company to customers, partners, industry associations, and government agencies.
  • FPSO & Floating Production BD: Drive business development with Singapore-based owner/lease operators (e.g., MODEC, SBM Offshore, Bumi Armada, Yinson). Lead end-to-end vendor qualification (data sheets, FAT/SAT witness, sample evaluations, pilot trials, and ABS/DNV/BV certifications).
  • Yard & EPC Supply Chain Integration: Position sintered-metal and polymer filtration elements into topside process packages, utility systems, and chemical dosing skids with key yards and EPCs (e.g., Seatrium, Keppel, and their subcontractors).
  • Oilfield Services & Engineering Contractors: Build relationships with oilfield service providers (e.g., SLB, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Weatherford, NOV, TechnipFMC, Expro) as direct customers and specification influencers. Engage design engineering contractors (e.g., Technip Energies, Worley, Wood, KBR, Aker Solutions, Saipem) to secure early inclusion in FEED specifications and vendor lists.
  • Refining & Petrochemical MRO Expansion: Qualify and pursue opportunities across SEA refineries, petrochemical, and gas processing plants. Build recurring replacement-element and retrofit business with end-users and turnaround teams. Coordinate third-party testing to API, ISO, NORSOK, and client standards.
  • SEA Channel Strategy: Design and execute the regional channel strategy (direct, distributor, agent). Recruit, contract, and manage regional distributors, set annual targets, and build MRO supplier relationships.
  • Key Account Leadership: Directly manage top key accounts, account plans, and high-level stakeholder relationships (procurement, technical, marine, maintenance, projects).
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, lead, and develop the local Singapore team (sales managers, application/sales engineers, and support staff). Establish a strong performance culture and talent pipeline.
  • HQ Bridge & Market Intelligence: Serve as the strategic bridge between regional customers and China HQ regarding technical escalations, delivery, quality feedback, and commercial policies. Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, technical trends, and project pipelines.
  • Bid Management & Governance: Manage the full bid cycle (enquiry screening, technical clarifications, commercial proposals, negotiations, and contracts) while ensuring compliant operations of the Singapore entity.

Requirements & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 12–15+ years of industrial B2B technical sales/business development experience, including at least 8 years specializing in filtration & separation products or closely adjacent process equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, fluid handling). Deep understanding of filtration media, ratings, materials, and applications.
  • Market Track Record: Demonstrated track record of market development in Singapore and SEA across Oil & Gas, Offshore/FPSO, and Petrochemical sectors (covering owner-operators, EPCs, and MRO).
  • Industry Network: Established working relationships with oilfield service firms, offshore/petrochemical engineering design contractors, and FPSO owner-operators in Singapore.
  • Qualification & Standards Knowledge: Hands-on knowledge of vendor qualification processes (owner-approved vendor lists, EPC/FEED specifications, FAT/SAT requirements, ABS/DNV/BV class certifications, and API/ISO/NORSOK standards).
  • Channel Management: Proven experience appointing and managing SEA distributors and channel partners with measurable sales outcomes.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years in a commercial team leadership role with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining sales and engineering teams.
  • Education & Languages: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Fluent business English. Working proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage to facilitate collaboration with China HQ.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within or alongside China-based equipment manufacturers, with an understanding of cross-border operations and stakeholder management between HQ and international markets.
  • Direct P&L or country-level commercial management experience within a principal/manufacturer setup.
  • Proven track record of taking an FPSO owner or major EPC through the complete vendor qualification process to approved-vendor status.
  • Exposure to produced-water treatment, chemical injection, seawater, or utility filtration applications on floating production units.
  • Strong professional network within Singapore’s industrial ecosystem.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
