The Opportunity

We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that support business and operational objectives. The role combines advanced data engineering expertise with strong business analysis capabilities to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes across cloud data platforms.
  • Engage business stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into technical data solutions.
  • Develop and optimize data models, transformations, and workflows using Python and SQL.
  • Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure data is structured and accessible for downstream consumption.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Contribute to technical best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, including designing and implementing data pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process documentation.
  • Strong technical expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative project environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Power BI.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Experience leading technical workstreams or mentoring junior team members.
  • Prior experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
