  • Promote decarbonisation equipment, energy-saving technologies, and retrofit solutions to shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, and vessel operators.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through customer visits, networking, industry events, referrals, and market research.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and commercial presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to secure new business and maintain profitability.

2. Marine Decarbonisation Equipment & Solutions

  • Promote marine equipment and technologies designed to improve vessel efficiency and reduce emissions, including: Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (scrubbers). Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS), where relevant to the product portfolio. Energy-saving devices and vessel performance optimisation equipment. Waste heat recovery and energy efficiency systems. Alternative-fuel-compatible equipment and retrofit solutions. Electrification, hybrid propulsion, and onboard energy management systems, where applicable.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical and commercial solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams and equipment manufacturers.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, environmental regulations, and decarbonisation initiatives affecting the maritime sector.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, fleet technical teams, procurement departments, shipyards, and marine engineering contractors.
  • Manage existing accounts while developing new customer relationships across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
  • Understand customers' fleet profiles, maintenance requirements, retrofit plans, and decarbonisation objectives to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle, from initial enquiry to contract award and project handover.

4. Project Coordination & Technical Support

  • Work closely with engineering, service, procurement, and project teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment demonstrations, technical presentations, site visits, and vessel inspections where required.
  • Support retrofit project proposals, equipment selection, and implementation planning.
  • Monitor project progress and maintain communication with customers to ensure a positive customer experience.

5. Market Development & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory developments, and emerging marine green technologies.
  • Identify potential business partnerships with technology providers, equipment manufacturers, shipyards, and marine service companies.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, account plans, and business performance updates for management.
  • Provide market intelligence and recommendations to support the company's commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales or business development experience in the Marine & Offshore industry.
  • Proven experience in selling marine equipment, technical solutions, retrofit services, or energy efficiency technologies.
  • Familiarity with marine decarbonisation technologies, vessel emissions reduction, fuel efficiency, or environmental compliance solutions.
  • Established relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, or marine engineering companies would be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a track record of developing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and communicate equipment benefits effectively to customers.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally when required.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling marine retrofit equipment, scrubbers, energy-saving devices, waste heat recovery systems, or other emissions-reduction technologies.
  • Exposure to vessel modification, ship repair, dry-docking, or retrofit projects.
  • Familiarity with IMO decarbonisation requirements and the industry's transition towards lower-emission operations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
