Job Description:
· Support the EGM in shaping and driving the company’s overall R&D strategy, research priorities, and long-term technology direction.
· Lead the planning, coordination, and review of multidisciplinary R&D projects relate to the construction and built-environment sector.
· Management of technical support and introduction of new technologies to local subsidiaries company.
· Drive collaboration with local and international universities, research institutions, government agencies, industry partners and start-ups.
· Strengthen collaboration between the branch, HQ, and regional subsidiaries to accelerate knowledge exchange and technology application.
· Bridge the gap between R&D and practical construction applications by translating research outcomes and emerging technologies into solutions that can be implemented in real projects and the built environment.
· Identify project, operational, and business needs where new technologies could create practical value and support future development opportunities.
· Represent the company in senior-level research discussions, technical forums, industry networks, and strategic partnership engagements.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in relevant field (such as MBA or equivalent business school experience)
- At least 15 years of relevant experience.
- Practical experience in construction site management and project management.
- Proven experience in planning and executing R&D projects in construction field
- Experience in R&D management, including oversight of project progress, resources, and deliverables.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in construction digital transformation (DX), including applications, robotics, IoT, and AI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese, including the ability to lead discussions, coordinate with Japan HQ, and deliver professional presentations in both languages at international conferences and external forums.
