Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for commercial and retail interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Produce layout plans, elevations, sections, and construction details based on project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed carpentry and joinery drawings for fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Review architectural and design drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues.
  • Revise and update drawings according to site conditions, client comments, and project changes.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, site measurements, and construction requirements.
  • Maintain proper drawing records and ensure timely submission of drawings.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Building Drafting, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (essential).
  • Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of construction details, materials, carpentry, and joinery works.
  • Able to interpret architectural and construction drawings.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with project teams.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet drawing submission deadlines.
