Position Overview
Vision Green is seeking a responsible and proactive EHS / Safety Officer to oversee and promote high standards of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) across our workplace and operations.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, identify and control workplace hazards, conduct inspections and risk assessments, support incident investigations, and promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Implement and maintain the company's EHS / WSH policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
· Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
· Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate risk-control measures.
· Develop and review Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and other safety documentation.
· Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH legislation, MOM requirements and other applicable statutory regulations.
· Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, training, and safety awareness programmes.
· Monitor employees, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices are followed.
· Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, determine root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
· Assist with emergency preparedness, emergency drills and response procedures.
· Maintain EHS records, inspection reports, incident reports, training records and other statutory documentation.
· Participate in internal and external EHS/WSH audits and inspections.
· Participate in ISO/BizSafe audits and inspections.
· Maintain a proper documentation control.
· Liaise with management, employees, contractors, clients, and relevant authorities on safety matters.
· Monitor environmental requirements, including proper handling/storage of hazardous substances and waste where applicable.
· Promote continuous improvement and a strong safety-first culture within Vision Green.
Requirements
· Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety &Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
· 2–5 years of relevant EHS/WSH experience; more experienced candidates are welcome.
· Knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act and subsidiary legislation.
· MOM-registered WSHO qualification is highly preferred if the position requires statutory WSHOresponsibilities.
· Knowledge of ISO 45001 and preferably ISO14001.
· Experience in risk assessment, workplace inspections, incident investigation and safety training.
· Good communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills.
· Able to work independently and engage effectively with workers, management, and contractors.
· Candidates with relevant construction,engineering, manufacturing, facilities, environmental or industrial experiencewill be considered.
