  • Supervise, coach and develop the junior workplace personnel, allocating work, setting priorities and performance expectations, providing technical guidance and monitoring the timeliness and quality of delivery.
  • Advise management and operational leaders on EHS risks, legal obligations, control measures and priorities, reporting trends, performance and recommended actions, and work with operations, HR, procurement and finance to embed EHS and workplace requirements into business decisions and daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore workplace safety, environmental and fire safety requirements, including obligations to MOM, NEA and SCDF, and act as the key liaison with regulators, customers, landlords, tenants and contractors.
  • Maintain certification and assurance under ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and bizSAFE, and lead internal and external audits, regulatory inspections and certification activities.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and site observations across office, warehouse and operational locations, and make sure gaps are assessed and closed promptly.
  • Oversee investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses, establish root causes, ensure regulatory reporting is completed and verify that corrective and preventive actions are effective.
  • Govern the Permit-to-Work process, including the preparation and review of risk assessments and safe work procedures for high-risk or non-routine activities.
  • Define and monitor EHS requirements for contractors and service providers, covering prequalification, induction, supervision of work, performance review and corrective action.
  • Plan and oversee safety training, toolbox meetings and awareness programmes to build workforce capability and a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation and maintenance of offices, warehouses, utilities and building infrastructure, including preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, fire protection, electrical installations, lighting, plumbing and security systems, with statutory inspections and servicing completed on schedule.
  • Manage office leasing and tenant matters, oversee housekeeping, security, pest control, waste management and space planning, and keep building plans, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, certificates, licences, permits, contracts and warranties current and audit-ready.
  • Plan and deliver facility improvement, renovation, refurbishment and upgrading projects, from scope development and quotation or tender evaluation through to execution, quality control, handover and defect rectification.
  • Manage facilities and EHS service providers and contracts, including performance reviews, work verification and payment approval, and prepare and control operating and capital budgets while monitoring utility consumption and asset performance for energy, reliability and cost gains.
  • Lead facility-related emergency preparedness, response planning and drills, and support business continuity planning by assessing facility and operational vulnerabilities and coordinating recovery priorities with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in a related discipline such as Building Services, Facilities Management, Engineering or Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in EHS and facilities management, including supervisory or managerial experience, preferably within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or another industrial environment.

  • Proven experience in contractor governance, regulatory engagement, safety management systems, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Hands-on experience in facilities operations, building services, preventive maintenance and statutory inspections, as well as improvement or renovation projects.
  • Experience managing vendors, service contracts, budgets and cross-functional projects, with sound commercial judgement and a focus on service quality.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
