The posting
- Plan, manage, and oversee the overall electrical works for projects.
- Review project specifications and prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment and systems.
- Technically evaluate suppliers’ proposals and equipment submissions.
- Guide designers in preparing Single Line Diagrams and review subcontractors’ Field Engineering Drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications and applicable local and international codes.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors and site supervisors in the execution of electrical construction works through regular site visits and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate proactively with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper interface and avoid design or construction conflicts.
- Liaise with clients’ engineers, supervisors, and professional engineers to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure electrical works meet the required quality, safety, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Recognised Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the chemical engineering industry.
- Hands-on experience with 22kV and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems is required.
- Good knowledge of Singapore electrical codes, regulations, and engineering practices.
- Familiarity with relevant local and international engineering codes and standards.
- Mature, proactive, and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple project requirements effectively.
- Willing to work additional hours based on project requirements.
- Candidates with more extensive relevant experience may be considered for senior positions.
