The posting

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Set design criteria, check design calculationand drawings.

· Agree on design concepts with Team Leader

· Ensure concept and sketch designs are approvedbefore progressing to the next stage.

· Assist in preparing fee proposals.

· Carry out feasibility work.

· Advise and report to the Team Leader andDivision Manager on the adequacy of the services.

· Formalize standards for specifications, drawingsetc. in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Division Manager.

· Resolve any technical problems faced during theproject design and/or construction stages.

· Investigate and recommend engineering systemselection.

· Handle all correspondence including reports,technical specifications, and other documents relating to the projects.

· Prepare and monitor cost and quantity estimates(assist for clarifications only);

· Attend design / site meetings.

· Assist Team Leader in internal staff management.

· Assist in business development activities.

· Senior engineers must be able to lead projectswith a team of engineers / technicians under their charge.

· Senior engineers must become fully familiar withcoded and local Authority requirements.

· Other duties and responsibilities as reasonablyrequired by the Team Leader / Division Manager.

· Requirements

· Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized byProfessional Engineering Board. Master’s degree in building servicesengineering or equivalent will also be considered.

· 7 to 10 years’ experience in design consultancywithin the MEP consultancy field.

· Chartership membership with professionalinstitutions is an advantage (CEng IEEE IET IES etc.)

· Ability to articulate and present design ideas,and report to stakeholders independently

· Experience in international airports and datacentres are preferred.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills
