Job Description
- Design, plan and supervise electrical installation works for construction projects.
- Prepare, review and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors on electrical works.
- Monitor electrical installation progress and ensure works are completed according to project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical works meet required quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and rectification of electrical systems.
- Provide technical support and resolve electrical engineering and site-related issues.
- Review material specifications and coordinate procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
- Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, relevant codes, standards and Singapore regulations.
- Monitor subcontractors' work and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical updates to project management.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection records and other project documentation.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices and technical standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of Singapore electrical and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of electrical design software is an advantage.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
- Relevant Singapore construction/M&E experience will be an advantage.
