The posting

  • Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for mechanical systems and equipment utilising industry-standard CAD software
  • Conduct electrical load calculations, power distribution analysis and circuit design to ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project teams to integrate electrical components into overall system designs
  • Review and validate electrical designs against technical specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including design drawings, bills of materials and installation instructions
  • Perform electrical simulations and modelling to verify design functionality and identify potential optimisations
  • Support the procurement process by specifying electrical components and liaising with suppliers
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical safety standards and industry best practices
  • Troubleshoot electrical design issues and implement corrective solutions during the development phase
