Electrical Engineer (System Integration)
Our client is a US MNC - Commercial Kitchen & Foodservice Manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system architecture, design, and integration for commercial refrigeration and food service equipment.
- Oversee overall system integration, connecting power systems, control modules, sensors, wiring harnesses, and human-machine interfaces into functional equipment.
- Prepare, review, and manage system-level electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Define system design specifications, perform system-level testing, and provide technical guidance to internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners.
- Coordinate system performance evaluations, testing, and validation with suppliers and offshore manufacturing partners, ensuring DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and system-level cost optimization.
- Oversee end-to-end cold equipment performance, system testing, and cost analysis to support QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) project requirements.
- Drive product certification and compliance programs at the system level (e.g., UL, CE, EMI/EMC, electrical safety, and thermal performance standards).
- Conduct system-level risk assessments, FMEA, and design reviews to ensure overall product reliability and operational readiness.
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including system spec sheets, wiring manuals, and technical design records.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–10 years of experience in electrical system design, system integration, or product engineering within the refrigeration, HVAC, commercial equipment, or appliance industries.
- Strong background in system-level integration, electrical safety, motor control, power distribution, and embedded system interfacing.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software for system schematics and wiring design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Solid understanding of international safety and compliance standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CSA, ASHRAE).
- Hands-on experience in system-level electrical testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage technical coordination with cross-functional teams and overseas suppliers.
- Advantageous: Experience with smart refrigeration/IoT systems, energy efficiency standards (Energy Star), embedded firmware integration, or stage-gate NPI processes.
