What you will do
Energy management and cost transformation
• Own utilities cost-transformation projects: deliver on schedule, verify savings against commitments, and report risks and mitigation plans to the governance committee
• Run the site energy efficiency and conservation programme in line with the global corporate energy programme and Singapore's Energy Conservation Act
• Conduct energy audits, evaluate options and recommend solutions
• Support the site's computerized energy monitoring system; track KPIs and take action or escalate when targets are at risk
• Develop the annual and 3–5 year pipeline of energy capital projects
• Build energy awareness across the site and work with global energy experts, peer pharmaceutical sites and government agencies on proven and emerging energy-saving technologies
Utilities, maintenance and budgets
• Compile and analyse utility, process and system data, and recommend ways to cut waste or adopt more efficient methods
• Work with maintenance and utilities managers to keep all equipment on effective preventive or predictive maintenance programmes
• Prepare utility budgets, monitor actual billing against budget, track project savings and set annual stretch goals
• Coordinate energy project implementation with utilities operations to minimise impact on manufacturing
• Support the Energy Lead on Profit Plan forecasting and on production, cost-effectiveness and cost-reduction targets
Capital projects and engineering support
• Recommend energy-efficient processes, systems and equipment to project engineers during capital planning and procurement
• Coordinate with the global engineering team on process design, construction and equipment validation
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and incompliance with safety and quality requirements
• Prioritise competing projects and engage peer and senior managers to resolve conflicts
Compliance, safety and problem solving
• Act as subsystem owner for plant maintenance calibration within the site quality management system
• Uphold and improve cGMP and Safety, Health &Environment (SHE) standards
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex problems with impact across business units
What you will need
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, engineering consultancy or a related field
• Proven project management of large or complex projects with cross-functional teams, within budget, schedule and quality requirements
• Sound knowledge of energy conservation technologies, energy audits, benchmarking and engineering budgets
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines for equipment design, equipment qualification, preventive maintenance and calibration
• Understanding of reliability-centred, preventive and predictive maintenance programmes
• Experience managing vendor service contracts
• Familiarity with system lifecycle methodology, cGMP, regulatory inspection readiness and SHE
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills
