Responsibilities:
- Ensure, administer and comply with safety & health procedures at the project site at all times
- Ensure all contractors working within assigned project comply with safety & health procedures at the project site at all times
- Develop Method Statement and Risk Assessment for works to be carried out on site, ensure control measures are implemented to ensure site is reasonably practicably safe to commence works
- Review and develop technical drawings for assigned projects given by the Facilities Manager
- Coordinate with Professional Engineer to ensure structures designed are sound and in accordance to specifications and regulations
- Coordinate with Professional Engineer to perform the necessary regulatory submission before commencement and after completion of works
- Verify actual construction is carried out in accordance to design plans
- Ensure that all facilities are adequately constructed and established, in accordance to design plans
- Develop project work schedule, update his/her superiors as and when there are changes
- Coordinate works with sub-contractors to ensure that projects are executed effectively within the scheduled timelines
- Update progress status and matters of concern regularly to his / her superiors.
- Carry out testing and commissioning of newly erected batching plant site before handing the plant over to the Operations team
- Perform handover/takeover of facilities to and from the Operations team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience working in engineering
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts and experience designing mechanical systems and products
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
- Able to work independently with a positive attitude under tight schedules
- Estate management preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of local safety regulations
- Possess a Class 3 driving license
