Job Summary
Teach primary, secondary, or specialized levels using a structured curriculum. Manage small-group classrooms, evaluate student progress, and support lesson preparation and centre operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons for primary, secondary, or specialized levels (e.g., O-Level, creative writing) using the centre’s structured curriculum and materials
- Manage classroom behavior and engage students effectively in small-group settings of fewer than 10 students
- Evaluate and mark student work, provide constructive feedback, and communicate performance updates to parents or management
- Prepare lessons and develop supplementary worksheets to enhance learning outcomes
- Support daily centre operations as needed to ensure smooth functioning
- Conduct lessons during weekends and weekday evenings to accommodate tuition schedules
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree qualification from a local or recognized university, ideally in English, education, or related fields
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience with Singapore’s MOE primary or secondary syllabus is strongly preferred; fresh graduates are welcome and training will be provided
- Strong spoken and written communication skills to effectively mentor young learners
- Dynamic and confident disposition with a genuine passion for mentoring students
